Mate

This tasteful implement is a present given to me by a nephew in Argentina. It is a "Mate", a vessel to drink a typical beverage from South America: yerba mate (Ilex Paraguayensis). It is made out of a cow's hoof. Tasty and useful.

Thanks for the info, Alejandro. I drink mate like if there was no tomorrow. Getting it in London is another story. It is quite expensive and no terribly fresh, but beggars can't be choosers. Drinking mate is one of the few vices I still got left. Naturally I dont't drink my mate in this hideous object but in a nice and traditional "porongo".
